Angela Hineline wanted a great school for her daughter, and with a degree in secondary education from a public university, and from her work in public schools, she was sure that a school as small as St. Ambrose Academy could not measure up. As she told the 2009 Benefit Dinner guests, "And, then, I walked through the doors and hallways of St. Ambrose Academy. The atmosphere was different from the other middle school / high schools I had experienced and it wasn’t just the uniforms. The students were welcoming and friendly, not just towards one another, but towards us, too. " Her experiences on visiting the school changed her mind about makes a great school.
