Testimony from a 7th Grade Student at St. Ambrose Academy

At St. Ambrose Academy my faith life has been nurtured in many ways. There being so many ways, it is hard to write about just one. Of all of the ways, one stands out the most to me, and that is the time for prayer. First of all, and most important, is going to Mass. It is great to be able to receive Jesus almost every day. On the two days when we don't go to Mass we pray the rosary, the stations of the cross, or read a meditation. Throughout the day, we are given the opportunity to pray at the beginning and the end of each class. This helps us to stay connected to God all the time.

Sometimes if we have some spare time in class or in study hall, the teacher will take the class to pray in the chapel. At the end of the day, we can pray the Divine Mercy chaplet. Even at sporting events, our coaches pray with us before we compete. Before our last cross country meet, Coach Emmel said to us, "All along you've been running for yourselves, now I want you to offer this race up for someone else." That really encourages me to go forward in faith. In all of these ways, St. Ambrose Academy has nurtured my faith life.

If I didn't go to St. Ambrose, I would have never learned so much about my faith and I would have never had so many opportunities to pray.

“St. Ambrose Academy promotes an environment and overall culture in which our child has thrived spiritually and grown in her commitment to serve Christ and His church. Our daughter has always had a love for God, but not until we enrolled her at St. Ambrose Academy did we fully realize what she had been missing..”
