Open houses serve two great purposes here at St. Ambrose:
One, since they showcase our students hard work, latest science projects and memorized recitations, extracurricular activities, and many other accomplishments — they are the perfect time for parents, grandparents and whole families to come beam with pride and satisfaction, as they see the remarkable growth in knowledge and virtue in their students. This is why we do these events.
But since these evenings also demonstrate the joy and faith of our students, the Socratic method and other classical techniques, and the content of our curriculum so well… they’re also a perfect opportunity for inquiring visitors, prospective families and supporters to better understand how we create this outstanding Catholic encounter and classical training.
We host two Open Houses each year: one evening in the fall and a fuller-feature evening in the spring; both at 602 Everglade Dr, Madison, WI 53717. No RSVP is needed. Come and go as you need. We create several chances to see presentations, dialogues and performances each evening.
- Our fall Open House will be Thursday, October 26th, from 4-7 p.m. in the Social Hall.
- Our spring Open House will be Thursday, February 1st, from 4-7 p.m. in the Social Hall and throughout the classrooms. [ Thursday of Catholic Schools Week. ]
Please come! Observe and ask questions. By understanding our mission and people better, you may come to see your student(s) thriving here, too! Afterward, we invite you to schedule a school tour, a Shadow Day for you and/or your child, or a personal visit to ask more of your questions.
